Tourist Resort
Presidente Epitácio is one of the official Tourist Resorts of São Paulo State, on the banks of the Rio Paraná, with freshwater beaches, lush vegetation, lagoons, many bird species and the most beautiful sunset in the country. Known for its ecosystem conservation policies, the town has a strong sense of environmental awareness.
Sport fishing, bike rides, road running and water sports are among the town's favourite pastimes. Traditional religious festivals such as the Fogueirão para São Pedro, honouring the town's patron saint on 29 June (a municipal holiday), and the procession for Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes on 15 August bring the town to life. Carnival and the Christmas celebrations are also highlights and a special draw for residents and visitors alike.

Fantástico, 2014
In 2014, the TV Globo programme Fantástico invited viewers to a photo contest and public vote to choose the corner of Brazil where the sun says goodbye most beautifully. A photo taken in the town not only made the final, it went on to win a contest with more than four million votes.

Joia Ribeirinha
On the Praça Matriz you will find an illuminated fountain with music and dancing water, and the Casa do Artesão, where crafts made by local residents are sold, showcasing the town's artistic culture. Known as the Joia Ribeirinha ("riverside jewel"), the town offers walks along the whole riverfront and the tourist pier.
